If you choose to travel by plane, we can meet you at the Bucharest Otopeni or Sibiu airport for daily collectiontransfer

By car

Take good care that the Romanian roads are not built for fast transport. An average of 35 m/ph must be counted for. Please avoid driving in the dark. There are loose animals, not sober cyclists and horsecarts with no lights, and holes in the pavement.

Be sure to bring your original car-papers and green card for crossing the border.

By bus.

Eurolines buscompany is covering Romania and drives to and from all Westeuropean countries. Traveltime is about 35 hours from Holland. We collect you from the city of Fagaras. Please let us know your eta.

At the border and moneymatters.

You don't need visa for Romania anymore, just a valid passport will do.

In most major towns there are bankautomats- nearest in Fagaras and you can change money in the banks. Don't use the automats or changepoints at the airport as the rate there is unfavourable.

What to take

Riding pants, boots or minichaps, cap or safety helmet, saddlebag, luncheonbox and drinkingmug, thermoscan, antimosquito, sunoil, bathingsuit, sunglasses, in case of trails a towel and a cover for your pillow, campingmatrass, and a little batterylamp.

What NOT to take

To much luggage. People always think to need too much stuff. You find in your room a hairdryer, slippers and bathcoat and plenty of towels.

Booking and Payment

You can book your trip by email merlelor@hotmail.com.

After booking and confirmation you are requested to pay 20% of the amount due within a fortnight on the account as indicated on your invoice sent by email to you. One month before the trip is due you are requested to pay the other 80 % in the same way. In case of later cancellation, no refund will take place, but you can choose an alike trip in the same year which suits you better or send somebody else in your place.

Insurance

You are obliged to purchase an extended travelinsurance including covering for horseriding activities. All liability whatsoever in relation to the trip is excluded by the organisation.
